Dr. Simpson was trained in internal medicine at the Pete Bent Brigham Hospital and in infectious diseases at the Radcliffe Infirmary (Oxford), and the Stanford University Medical Center. He has graduate degrees from the Rush Medical College, the University of Illinois, Balliol College (Oxford), and the Harvard School of Public Health. He has more than 25 years experience in academic medicine, infectious diseases, and public health, and currently is the Medical Director, Infectious Diseases, New Mexico Department of Health.
